I can't understand if he says he was protecting two poofs why they're not appearing in his defence, I'm sure I read somewhere today that they weren't due to appear in court at any point.

He SHOULD be playing for NZ

By birth

And sexual orientation

I think it’s obvious whatever his ‘good intentions’ that his attack went well beyond ‘self defence’ and/or ‘coming to the aid of fellow gays’.
Needs to be made an example of

Take one Kiwi and add a half of lager

He was talked to about his off field behaviour before receiving a written warning.
Nothing changed so he was sent home for ‘unprofessional behaviour’.

Obviously he is a reformed character now who acts in a sensible manner between games.

Larwood didn't have a pot to piss in. I suspect Stokes has got more cash than the ECB.

Sven Roeder 9:22 Mon Aug 6
Re: Ben Stokes trial
ECB can be spiteful
After Bodyline they asked Larwood to sign a letter apologising for his bowling as a requirement to be selected in future.
He refused and didn’t play another Test.

'He wasn’t banned he was not considered for selection until the decision as to whether he would be charged was made.'

It doesn't matter what the form of words is, the ECB won't be able to present that as anything but a ban.

What would be really funny would be if Stokes sued them for restraint of trade and won. Then the ECB could sue him for breaking his contract in which Stokes agrees to abide by their decisions. Stokes would win that, too. Then they could get spiteful and just drop him. Stokes could almost certainly sue them for a third time and win again.

I still don’t understand this ‘abuse of gays’ thing. I thought he was buying them drinks earlier and they subsequently called him their HERO.
